Carbon steel structures

Where Carbon Steel Structures Are Used:

Carbon steel is the default structural material across a broad range of building types and industrial applications. Its combination of high strength, weldability and economy makes it the first choice wherever spans are wide, loads are heavy or speed of construction matters.

Industrial buildings and factories — manufacturing plants, assembly facilities, processing plants and workshops rely on steel frames to achieve large clear spans without internal columns, maximising usable floor area and operational flexibility.

Warehouses and logistics centres — single and multi-span steel structures dominate the logistics sector globally. Steel allows fast erection, easy future modification and the flexibility to accommodate mezzanine levels, overhead cranes and large door openings.

Agricultural and rural storage — grain stores, livestock buildings, equipment shelters and crop processing facilities across Southeast Asia, Africa and the Middle East are built primarily in carbon steel for its durability and low maintenance cost in rural conditions.

Commercial and mixed-use buildings — multi-storey office buildings, retail centres, hotels and mixed-use developments use structural steel frames where speed of construction and architectural flexibility are priorities.

Mezzanine floors and platforms — internal steel platforms and mezzanine levels add usable space within existing buildings without structural modification to the shell. Standard application in warehouses, factories and distribution centres.

Pipe racks and process structures — in petrochemical, food processing, pharmaceutical and water treatment facilities, carbon steel pipe racks carry process pipework, cable trays and equipment at elevation. These structures require careful engineering for thermal movement, dynamic loads and maintenance access.

Bridges and infrastructure — footbridges, vehicular bridges and infrastructure access structures across industrial sites and rural areas.

Long-span roof structures — trusses, space frames and lattice girders in carbon steel cover large areas without intermediate supports — used in hangars, sports facilities and industrial halls.

Our Engineering Scope:

We provide complete engineering and supply for carbon steel structures — from initial concept through to fabricated components ready for erection on site.

Structural analysis and design — load calculations to your local building code, member sizing, connection design and foundation reactions. We work to ASCE 7, EN 1993, AS/NZS, SBC and other codes as required by your project location.

Shop drawings — full fabrication drawings for every structural component, connection details and erection sequences. Drawings are prepared to the standard required by your fabricator and reviewed by our engineers before release to production.

Fabrication management — we source and manage fabrication through qualified manufacturing partners . All production is subject to our milestone quality control protocol with photographic inspection reports at every stage.

Material certification — all structural steel supplied with mill test certificates confirming grade, chemical composition and properties. We specify and verify the correct grade for every application.

Logistics and delivery — complete sea freight management from fabrication facility to your port of destination. We manage documentation, shipping instructions and coordinate Bill of Lading so your supply chain remains under your control.

Site support — optional engineering supervision during erection, available in Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. Remote supervision with structured reporting available for other locations.

Our Step-by-Step Quality Protocol :

  1. Quality Control at Every Stage

  1. Our quality protocol is structured around milestone inspections, not end-of-production checks.

  1. Before each payment milestone is released, we review photographic and dimensional reports from the fabrication facility.

  1. Material verification — mill test certificates reviewed and cross-checked against specification before fabrication begins.

  1. In-process inspection — dimensional checks and weld visual inspection at key stages during fabrication.

  1. Pre-shipment inspection — final dimensional survey, surface condition check and documentation review before loading.

  1. Third-party inspection — SGS or Bureau Veritas inspection available for projects requiring independent verification.

  1. All inspection records are retained in our project management system and available to the client on request.
